Y volviendo un poco más a mis gustos, me encuentro con Snow Patrol, me recuerda mucho a Coldplay, Keane, y por supuesto, a mis siempre queridos U2 (mi pequeño secreto), definitivamente su sonido es muy similar a algunas bandas europeas. Sus letras son dulces y el sonido es calmado, aunque hablen de desamor suelen ser canciones "lindas".

Su último disco es Open Eyes, y esta muy bien, me encantó, no se tengo tantas canciones preferidas que me resulta díficil escoger una, bueno esta es la lista de canciones que contiene el CD:

Me agrada mucho su música sus discos anteriores y en general todo, pero por encima se encuentran dos canciones hermosas, You could be happy y Make this go on forever realmente estas canciones me tocan, como diría alguien que no recuerdo, me hacen vibrar a su ritmo, tanto la música como la letra hacen de estas unas obras preciosas. Y más en estos tiempos que corren en que resulta díficil dejar atrás.

Solo tengo algo en contra de ellos y es un detalle o un detallito, resulta que a este grupo se le ocurrió hacer un cover de Damien Rice de nada menos que la canción The Blowers Daughter's, no puedo imaginar esa canción en otra voz que no sea la de Damien, pero bueno todo mundo cae alguna vez, o como diría R.E.M. "everybody hurts sometimes" así que "hold on". Como dije era solo un detalle o mejor dicho un detallito.

Sobre mi pequeño secreto es algo, que es extraño hace muchos años cuando oí la versión de With or without you de U2 en concierto, me ocurrió algo raro, y es que por primera vez en mi vida escuchar música me produjó un orgasmo, chiquito, pero suficiente para que aun lo recuerde. Imaginense cuando me enteré que supuestamente la canción tiene un sentido religioso. Desde esa ocasión cada vez que escucho U2, no hago más que sonreir al recordar, y sentir como me pongo ultrasensible, nunca se lo he dicho a nadie con quien haya salido siento que podría ser usado en mi contra, que cosas!
